After much deliberation, we began meeting on Sundays in David’s woodpile. Careful to observe social distancing protocol, we would form a scalene triangle around a spartan fire and rehearse until our fingers stiffened in the February chill. With no gigs on the calendar and all the studios closed, this piece emerged as a sonic extension of the forest that surrounded us. Guitar, bass, pump organ, and drums combine with bird songs and rustling leaves to create an atmosphere of peaceful immersion, longing, and mystery. This recording is QUARK encoded to play in both stereo and Regular Matrix quadraphonic sound.
